Delivery Requirements

Delivery Requirements

We deliver the storage trailer rental units that customers request directly to job sites and designated locations. All deliveries are handled by Tidewater-owned equipment and experienced drivers. Our fleet includes single-axle trucks and 42′ hydraulic rollback drop-deck flatbeds, ensuring safe placement of every container trailer. Our drivers are long-time employees and assist with proper positioning on site.

For a 40′ storage rental container delivery, we require a straight 100′ clearance to safely place the unit. A 20′ unit requires an 80′ straight shot. Delivery areas must be at least 12′ wide with 13.5′ of overhead clearance. If you are searching for a container rental service in North Carolina, we ensure our small rollback truck delivery options support flexible storage trailer rental placements across diverse sites.

Ground Conditions

Ground conditions play an important role in successful portable storage trailer and container placement. The surface must be solid, level, and dry to ensure proper door alignment and locking functionality. Unlevel or wet ground can prevent secure placement and may impact usability. Customers who want to rent storage trailers should ensure ground conditions are suitable before delivery.

Delivery Recommendations

To reduce condensation and improve airflow, we recommend elevating storage containers using treated lumber, railroad ties, or similar materials. This helps prevent moisture buildup inside the unit. Customers are responsible for providing elevation materials, which may be placed at each corner or across the width of the container.

When placing rental containers on new asphalt, plywood underneath the container is highly recommended to protect the surface. Plywood should be onsite at the time of delivery.
