About Us

What We Do

Tidewater Storage Trailer Rentals, Inc. was founded in 1982 by Roger Cando and Tom Eakes to provide dependable storage trailers and container solutions to businesses across southeastern North Carolina. Tidewater is the first, oldest, and only container sales and rental company domiciled in Wilmington, making us a trusted local source for storage containers that Wilmington customers rely on.

Operating within a 150-mile radius of Wilmington, we proudly support commercial, industrial, and military clients seeking storage trailer rentals backed by decades of experience. Tom and Roger have been friends since their teenage years and remain active Wilmington residents, reinforcing our commitment to long-term service and storage trailers for rent rooted in the local community.

From an original fleet of eleven units, Tidewater has grown into a robust inventory of more than 1,100 combined units supporting a wide range of rental storage trailers and container needs. Our current fleet includes 20’ and 40’ ground-level containers, 40’ office/storage combination containers, 20’ office containers, and 28’ to 53’ dry van units commonly used as warehouse trailers. We also supply specialty configurations that support businesses requiring portable storage trailer solutions for job sites and long-term projects.

We provide storage trailer and container rentals across Eastern North and South Carolina, including Raleigh, Myrtle Beach, Jacksonville, NC, and all points in between. Our service footprint supports government and defense contractors with on-site storage trailers serving Camp Lejeune, Cherry Point, Pope AFB, Fort Bragg, and Seymour Johnson AFB. To ensure reliable logistics, we own and operate our own single-axle trucks and 42’ hydraulic rollback drop-deck flatbeds, allowing us to deliver storage trailer container units efficiently and on schedule. All deliveries are handled by our in-house drivers, ensuring accountability, safety, and expertise throughout every storage container trailer rental.

Our sales inventory includes containers and trailers readily available at our Wilmington yard for customers seeking rental of containers without extended lead times. Available equipment includes one-trip containers, chassis, tunnel-tainer units with doors on both ends, 45’ containers, insulated containers, and open-top trailer containers. Through established supplier relationships along the East Coast and internationally, we can source additional container trailers to meet specialized requirements.

We build long-term partnerships by delivering fast, dependable service and flexible container rentals tailored to each customer’s operational needs. Our experienced drivers assist with placement and setup, ensuring proper positioning of rental containers on job sites and facilities. To further extend functionality, we offer complete container modifications, including personnel doors, windows, HVAC systems, shelving, lighting, roll-up doors, and custom fabrication for storage trailer rentals and containers that work as hard as your business does.
